Webinar: Patients’ right to access under HIPAA

Webinar: Patients’ right to access under HIPAA

One of the most important aspects of HIPAA is the provision that patients have a right to access their health records in a timely manner. Over the last two years, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the Department of Health and Humans Services has focused on violations of this provision, fining 41 healthcare organizations for noncompliance.

We’re pleased to have partnered with Danika Brinda, Ph.D., CEO of Planet HIPAA and TriPoint Healthcare Solutions for our recent webinar “Patients’ right to access: How to stay compliant.”

In this webinar Dr. Danika focuses on the top five areas of noncompliance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule’s right of access and discusses simple steps to avoid noncompliance and support your patients in accessing their health information. Dr. Danika shares practical examples and defines the key elements of a successful approach to patients’ right of access.
